It is used to treat a variety of infectious diseases, including those of the nose, throat, ears, lungs, bronchi, urinary tract, joints and teeth.

CONTRAINDICATIONS OF THE DRUG AMOXICILLIN ALMUS
This medication should not be used in case of allergy to betalactam.
CAUTION
The occurrence of any allergic reaction (pimples, swelling, discomfort) requires the discontinuation of treatment. Consult your doctor quickly. Remember to report any history of allergy to antibiotics of the beta-lactam family (penicillins and cephalosporins). It contraindicates the use of this medication.
If extensive redness of the skin with blistering and fever occurs at the beginning of treatment, do not continue treatment and seek urgent medical advice.
Many antibiotics can cause loose stools or diarrhea, which is usually mild. However, significant diarrhea during or within days of antibiotic treatment should be reported to your doctor.
A decrease in fever or the disappearance of symptoms does not mean that the disease has been cured: it is essential to respect the duration of treatment to avoid relapses or the appearance of resistance to the antibiotic.
Precautions are necessary in case of phenylketonuria (dispersible tablet: presence of aspartam), renal insufficiency, history of convulsions, epilepsy or infectious mononucleosis.
Amoxicillin may interfere with some medical test results; inform your test laboratory if you are taking this antibiotic treatment.
Caution: driverDriver: in rare cases, this drug causes effects (allergic reaction, dizziness, convulsions) that may constitute a risk for driving or operating dangerous machinery.
INTERACTIONS OF AMOXICILLIN ALMUS WITH OTHER SUBSTANCES
Tell your doctor if you are taking an oral anticoagulant, a cyclin antibiotic, or a drug containing methotrexate, allopurinol or probenecid.

Capsules should be swallowed with a glass of water.
The dispersible tablets should be dissolved in a glass of water. Swallow the mixture as soon as it is homogeneous.
USUAL DOSAGE :
It varies according to the infection being treated, its severity, the patient's age, weight and kidney function.
Adults and children over 40 kg: 1 to 3 g of amoxicillin per day, divided into 2 or 3 doses (1 or 2 capsules every 8 hours).
In some infections (e.g., pneumonia, typhoid fever, Lyme disease), the dosage may be increased to 6 g per day.
In the treatment of cystitis: 3 g of amoxicillin, twice a day, for one day.
In the eradication of Helicobacter pylori: 1 g, morning and evening, in combination with another antibiotic and an antiulcer.
Children under 40 kg: the usual dose is 40 to 90 mg per kg per day, divided into 2 or 3 doses.
In case of renal insufficiency, the dosage must be reduced.
TIPS
The doctor sometimes prescribes a swab to identify the germ responsible for the infection and test its sensitivity to antibiotics. The result of this test may be distorted if you have previously self-medicated: do not take or give antibiotics without medical advice.
Any fatigue is not due to the antibiotic, but to the infection itself.
It is recommended to drink abundantly (2 liters per day) in case of high dose treatment to avoid the formation of crystals in the urinary tract.
