The reason many of our clients choose us to deliver HBOT to them or
their loved ones is based on our level of knowledge, research, and
expertise that
our doctor has demonstrated for almost 30 years.
Chambers
The chambers used by the
Ocean Hyperbaric Neurologic Center are Seachrist horizontal and original
Vickers Clamshell chambers. Many people wonder why the Vickers chambers are
used in our facility. These chambers are noted to have excellent
recompression mechanisms. Using these chambers to treat our patients, we have
had the lowest incidents of ear problems of any center in the country.
Certain centers insist upon ear tubes (myringotomies) before treatments of
children to avoid such ear problems. Of the last 300 children we have
treated, this has been necessary in our facility only once. The Vickers
Clamshell chamber offers a sit-up position for both parent and child and is
adapted for parent and child bonding during treatments.
Physician-supervised
HBOT treatments
Unlike many new HBOT facilities, which are operated only by technicians, all
therapy at the Ocean Hyperbaric Neurologic Center is delivered under the direct
supervision of our founder
Dr. Richard A. Neubauer, one of the most respected physicians in the field.
Utilizing a handpicked team of HBOT technicians, Dr. Neubauer and the
Ocean Hyperbaric Neurologic Center
provide patients and families the confidence that only specially trained
experts can provide, in a comfortable, family-oriented
setting.
At the Ocean Hyperbaric Neurologic Center, the physician is always
available. At certain centers, however, this is not possible, as they
are operated by technicians and therapists.
While HBOT is safe and effective when administered under the close
supervision of trained physicians, this is not the case when - as in the
case of some modern clinics - it is dispensed by technicians alone. A
myriad of technical and medical factors must be considered when designing an
HBOT treatment program - factors that only specially trained, experienced
physicians are versed in addressing. While there are no regulations or laws
preventing physician-less clinics from dispensing HBOT, the OHNC and other
respected organizations are working to prevent this.
Reasonable cost
Other facilities charge up to $2,250 per hour for physician-supervised
HBOT.
In contrast, the OHNC charges only $200 per hour, and each of our patients
enjoys the individual environment afforded by our individual (monoplace)
HBOT chambers.
Convenient location
The OHNC is located in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida, just north of Fort
Lauderdale. We are conveniently accessible through
either of the three airports serving the South Florida area: Miami
International, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, and Palm Beach
International.
